Facilities Maintenance Tech

Summary:The Maintenance/Facilities Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, repairing, installing, and inspecting mechanical equipment and facility systems across the manufacturing plant. This role involves working with CNC machines, Waterjets, shears, and various production and facility infrastructure systems to ensure optimal performance and safety. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on experience in a manufacturing setting, and a proactive approach to preventative maintenance and facility care.This is a hybrid position involving both equipment maintenance and facilities upkeep. The successful candidate will be expected to support a wide range of plant operations and infrastructure responsibilities.  Main Duties and Responsibilities:·         Perform daily preventative maintenance (PMs) and inspections on production equipment including CNC mills (Haas), Flow Waterjets, shears, and punch presses.·         Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and hydraulic systems.·         Conduct cleaning and servicing tasks including garnet extraction, lubrication system refills, and maintenance of compressors and utility areas.·         Maintain clean and orderly work areas inside and outside the facility in accordance with safety and quality standards.·         Repair, assemble, install, and dismantle fabricating machines and material handling systems using manuals, layout sketches, and verbal/written instructions.·         Create working sketches of machine parts as needed for fabrication or rework.·         Adjust and maintain powered shear blades and similar production tools.·         Use hand tools and precision instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, and protractors to ensure repair accuracy.·         Handle and store hazardous cleaning materials safely, including acetone and alcohol.·         Support utility and facility infrastructure projects and verify completion of tasks.·         Respond promptly to supervisor instructions and work orders. Requirements: Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered.
